CALL A PHONE FROM YOUR MOBILE DEVICE
A new feature of Hangouts on iOS devices is the ability to call other phones. Calls are free to Canadian and American phone lines, but cost money to other locations. Click here to view international calling rates. This feature is not currently available through Google Play's Hangouts app for Android devices.
STEP 1: Open the app
On your mobile device, tap the Hangouts icon from the home screen to open the app.
STEP 2: Start a phone call
Tap the "phone" button in the top right corner to start a new phone call.
STEP 3: Dial number
A screen will pop up where you can enter the phone number, then press call. You can also access your device's contacts by pressing the "Phone contacts" button in the lower right corner.
