My voyage to Master of Educational Technology

Captain's Log
As my MET voyage reaches its destination, I glance back at the waters behind me to reflect upon the journey I have taken. I waited for several years after taking my BEd before beginning a master's program because I couldn't find one that seemed like a perfect fit. I am so thankful that I found UBC's MET program, as it was the ideal learning environment for me at this point in my life. Because the topics were highly relevant and meaningful, I have applied my newly acquired knowledge to my own teaching practice, thus transforming both my philosophy of teaching and the way that I structure my classroom.
As one voyage ends, another one begins. While looking out at the vast blue horizon for the next adventure, I came across a posting for a digital literacy coach position at my school. I have just been appointed this title, which will enable me to continue learning about educational technology and share what I have learned with my co-workers.
Feedback is an integral part of learning, particularly in self-directed activities such as this e-Portfolio. Because this is a living document that I want to continue to grow and develop, I would greatly appreciate it if you would take the time to offer some feedback using the checklist below. Thank you in advance.
